Workshop on 'Greening the Indian Federal System

Inter State Council Secretariat (ISCS) in collaboration with The Energy Research Institute (TERI), Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoE&F), the World Bank and Forum of Federations (FoF) organized a day long brainstorming workshop on 6th July 2012 at India Habitat Centre on the theme ‘Greening the Indian Federal System: Views from the Centre and the States’.

This was a preparatory workshop for International Conference on Green Federalism scheduled in October 2012 in New Delhi.

Renowned experts on environment, federalism, centre-state relations and local governance participated in the workshop which was inaugurated by Dr. R.K. Pachauri Director General of TERI. Other speakers in the Inaugural session included Dr. Vijay Kelkar President of the FoF, Mr. P.G. Dhar Chakrabarti Adviser ISCS and Mr Onno Ruhl Country Director designate of the World Bank.
